Sia, Har Mar and my 50th

Well ladies and gentlemen...this the 50th post on the ol blogger. gee thanks!

okay down to business. last night we went to see a concert. the opening act may of been of the best opening acts of all time. His name was HAR MAR SUPERSTAR. dude was out of control and in a serious way. his fav line was you love us. the best part is that he is a 5'5" man with a huge beer gut and gyrates all over the stage. by the end of his set, he was down to his tighy reds. awesome. what a way to warm the crowd up!
Next up was Sia. if you read this blog, you know that i have a serious crush on her and her music. I am always happy to get people to listen to her and go to her shows. Everyone that I have forced to see the show comes away in awe of her powerful and beautiful voice! the show was what you would expect. fun, nonsence, great music and she even gave a shout out to me for the song somersault, one of my personal favs! next time she is around you got to go and check her out...so good!!!

well that is it for this post...i have to go and watch the nucks kill the preds! i will have more pictures posted up on the website. i am trying to create a photo album area...stay tuned...

A little Mos Def

Hi

just a quickie...went to mos def on monday night after spending the whole weekend sick. cough!
it was an alright show i guess. I dont go to many hip hop shows, so i didnt know what to expect. the show had no flow, it was choppy. Mr. Mos sang part way through songs and then stopped, he would do bits and pieces of other tunes. it was like watching a guy at a house party who puts on a fwe of his fav records and sings them. add the fact that every K Fed look a like in vancouver showed up...

but he did play the only two songs i really know...re-definition (mp3) and umi says (cant find a link)

anyways he are a few of my camera phone pics...hopefully some better ones turn up.

sweet the pics wont upload...i'll try it later...p.o.s blogger...ugh!

A little Mah Jong anyone?

On the weekend we played some mah jong...its a chinese game duh! it is a game that old chinese people play on weekends. they sit around shuffle the cards/blocks, talk real loud and eat lots of food all late at night.i wasnt sure if it was going to go over very well...but the people involved seem to really enjoy it. so i guess that makes us all old chinese people!

Little baby Cameron thought it was super exciting!

So did his dad, thats why he went and played guitar hero 3 instead!

Los Campesinos!

Happy Chinese New Years to everyone!

My new band of the moment is this great band called Los Campesinos. They are what you would get if Arcade Fire and broken Social Scene had a love child. The music is fun, catchy and makes you think of summer time! Apparently their new album is going to be released on Arts & Crafts, the crazy Canadian label full of indie superstars. Maybe this band is on its way to becoming superstars as well! Here is a song from the upcoming album.

What else is going on...hmm...

Shaq was traded to the Phoenix Suns last night. Thats pretty awesome. He is one of my fav athletes of all time. The guy is just so entertaining to listen and watch!

See isnt he funny?

check out the website too...I have added a new section called Eatmorecords Interviews...

Busta Rhymes and Scooby Doo and 'Vokoun, You Potato Farmer!"

Now, you are probably wondering what Busta and Scooby have in common. Well this is what they have in common. Scooby is a canucks fan, one of over 80 transplanted canucks fans who now reside back east in toronto, montreal and whereever else, who have gone to see a canucks game in miami. this is now a tradition that has seen them go to buffalo, long island and now miami.

So busta and scooby? busta buys scoob a pizza for his awesome costume after clubbing on south beach.

here are some photos of the events.

now if you notice you will see dean murray, jen horton (andres wife) and rich maerov being profiled. it sounded like a pretty wild scene!

also here are some links to the newspaper article
